Friday, April 15th, 2011One of my cousins went to another place because she believes that it would really help her a lot especially in earning money, and I really supported her because I know that it would really make her happy. To be able to have the things that she desires to have, my cousin is also thinking of marrying an Irish and also, it is what she wants in her life. She has been staying in Ireland for almost 2 years already and it is a good thing that she has met a very good and respectful man there, and another good thing is that, she is not thinking of gaining money from the said man. The truth is that, she really loves the man and it was good news for me that she is no longer thinking of marrying someone just to have money. There was a time when I visited her in Ireland and I am just so happy to see that she already changed a lot and also, the man is giving her so much happiness and contentment. During my visit, I was able to see a very sweet moment between them because at that time, they were celebrating their 1st anniversary and I was just so happy for them. For them, it was really a momentous happening because the man gave her a necklace while my cousin gave the Irish man some personalized irish gifts and the man really cried at that time. In the future, I hope to have that kind of relationship with the man that I will love in the future.

Thursday, April 14th, 2011Due to today’s hard economic times, many especially small companies, are facing foreclosure and are forced to file for emergency bankruptcy and try to recoup their losses. As if the situation is not bad enough, when these companies close down, many employees lose their jobs causing the unemployment rate to go up and a lot of families to struggle in poverty. People grow even more desperate to go abroad to find greener pastures but the reality is that times are hard everywhere even in America so they look for other options in New Zealand, Australia, and Singapore. Workers in Japan have been sent home following the terrible tragedy that have left many people dead or homeless; the future of their jobs remain uncertain as Japan is still coping with the aftermath of the earthquake and tsunami that has caused the nuclear plant to break down, endangering people with the leaking radiation. From the recent earthquake in New Zealand then Japan, to the civil war in Libya and the uprising in Bahrain, these worrying events could be a sign that the end is coming in the near future just as the Mayan Calendar had predicted that the end of world would come in 2012. There are those who continue to look at the bright side of things and believe that these hard times would pass and that Japan will regain its former glory, emerging as a stronger nation as it rebuilds itself just like it did after the Kobe quake in 1995. Hopefully, the civil war will not escalate any further into an all out world war and will be resolved soon to spare the lives of civilians as well as those soldiers risking their lives to free the country’s citizens from its cruel ruler.

Thursday, April 14th, 2011Connecting with the Human Resource Officer of the very huge Fortune 500 company situated here in our city I told her my school requirement and asked if it is possible that I come to visit their office for an interview and she was very kind to give me the access that I need as I was assigned by my college professor to make a company study about it. So when I went there I was toured to the facilities of this company starting with an explanation of the mission statement of the organization then the HRO guided me to another person who showed me their finish products and technical person explained to me how they did the product from conception, design, feasibility study, prototyping, finalization, and release and the best thing about this is he explained each one of the process where the process are happening. By the end of the day, I was introduced to the CEO of the company and for thirty minutes I was able to get an interview with him and it is just a refreshing feeling meeting someone so successful and yet so humble so I really enjoyed the whole tour and in the end I was invited for a dinner with the company guest that night in a very prestigious hotel. To share to them the culture of this Fortune 500 company right in our city including the practices that they are employing within the organization I was so inspired when I wrote my report and I also want to share to them the process and the high tech lab that this company has and most especially I am planning to share my interview with the CEO so that they will know why this company is so successful because this CEO is very principled.

Not being able to study is one of the things that I would not want to happen to all the people because education is a very important thing to all of us. With the formal education that we would always want to have or achieve, we will be able to do the things that we really wish to do and not going under a formal education might possibly take you to a different road. While I was still studying, I really enjoyed the things that I experienced and they were all really so amazing and I really learned a lot from all of my experiences in school. I was able to survive with my work simply because I was able to finish my studies and got a good job.
