I am not an architect
Thursday, June 30th, 2011I have always wanted a new design when I buy or build a house and I want the design to be unique. I always want to look at different styles of house and I love to see how function and style come together into a structural design. When it comes to bold colors, I really love Tuscany Villas and other Tuscany inspired designs. I’ve not been to Tuscany , but whenever I look it up on Google, I really love looking at the designs they put on their houses and buildings. Tuscany houses really have a warm color and great structure. There was one cable show that I watched wherein the house they needed to redo is has a Tuscany design. The house had no exciting stuff to look at, and it was really drab. The designers needed to have more inspiration and ideas to make sure that the house looked like one of those Tuscany villas that I frequently see on the internet. I am not an architect, but I have been around these sort of things for quite some time now and I can really say that when it come to Tuscany designs, it’s all about color and some landscaping. Tuscany style still goes within the legal and moral bounds of style, form and function. Tuscany inspired designs really use a lot of organic materials and the landscaping also should at least be trimmed a bit so that it is low maintenance. Going back to the show, the designer really did a great job achieving balance and excitement without compromising the Tuscany style required by the owner. The result was just everything that the owner wanted, plus the fact that although the plants were very easy to take care of, they still look really good on the yard. The makeover was really very successful and the owner was ecstatic that what he wanted to have as a design was definitely achieved.

Wednesday, June 29th, 2011We will have a dark chocolate brown and turquoise blue colors for our wedding we want that in every aspect of the wedding, our wedding colors are very evident and well-manifested. I have an all-white Vera Wand wedding gown and so I just made my wedding shoes be made of silk turquoise blue with dark chocolate brown accent and it was designed and crafted by Manolo Blahnik. Even in the bouquets and floral arrangement, the color will still be evident even if we will use mostly white flowers because it will be accented with blue millions. Dark chocolate brown gown accented with turquoise blue bead work will be worn by the mothers while turquoise blue dresses accented with dark chocolate brown ties for my maid of honor, bridesmaids and flower girls. Ford 1930 will be the car that we will be using on our wedding day and we are planning to have to have a turquoise blue around the regular black wheels and the car will be decorated with both colors. To have the feel of both the traditional and modern wedding cake, we will have a white fondant cake but it will have fresh flowers as decoration that are sprayed with turquoise blue and dark chocolate brown paints. LED and intelligent lights will be used to set the mood with the acoustic band playing love songs and then we hired a DJ to play after the programs and dinner. Our wedding will definitely be beautiful because it is the reflection of the love that we share.

Monday, June 27th, 2011Youtube is one of the greatest website in the world right now that is created by a genius and is surely very rich right now, what a good and brilliant idea. You can find anything in youtube by typing a keyword or a phrase, the database is free and contains everything like music, creations, movies, music and photos. Different people of different ages and gender have posted their skills and talents in youtube and has been discovered, this is why youtube is so helpful to these people. I read of a true story of a ten year old girl who posted a video of herself singing a song of her favorite artist, the artist saw this and was so touched that she asked her to sing with her in one of her concerts. My son and nephews have a lot of fun in youtube by posting music videos of them lipsyncing to their favorite song and band, they just do not care if they get bad reviews orcomments in youtube, they just want to get youtube views. Young and new artist uses youtube as a tool, they post their creations like short films and music and sooner or later someone will discover them. I really love it when I find the old music , commercial and movies I watch and listen to when I was a kid, youtube has it all. Youtube has the power to connect everyone and provide the world with images and music that you thought you would never hear and see again

Sunday, June 26th, 2011There are just moments in which you wish you were able to capture it with a camera or record it with your video camera; those unforgettable moments are usually the funny ones, those moments when your friend steps on something disgusting or just hit a ping tree. It really is so sad that you could not prepare the video camera at an instant at these moments and will result in you missing what is supposed to be a funny footage of your lives. In my opinion, I believe that a video or digital camera is a vital tool in those times that you involve yourself in outdoor activities like outings and fieldtrips because you will never know what might happen that you could capture with your camera; and aside from these, you could also capture all the fun and the friends you shared it with and the place you held it in and all those that contribute to these memories. Memories with friends and family are just one of the good things in life that only you can cherish and nobody can take away from you except when you get amnesia, of course. And although there really are still those bad memories that you just want to forget if you could, but you really cannot; but in looking at the bright side, these bad memories and scars could help you in how you live your life today for the better as you have learned a lot from these memories. These kind of memories really teach us some lessons in life that we can never learn if do not experience it; and when I think of this, one thing comes in mind, the famous quote: learning it the hard way. In your lifetime, there will be a lot of people who come and go, but there are really those people you have met that will always remain with you in your memory and no matter how far they are, they will always be with you no matter where you go.

Sunday, June 26th, 2011I noticed several hand dryers were installed at the washroom last week and I appreciate it a lot that the management finally decided to purchase and install them because they’re a lot more convenient to use than paper towels. Most employees suggested to use hand dryers instead of paper towels in the office which the latest employee satisfaction survey results showed that’s why the management decided to purchase and install them As for me, I am more comfortable using hand dryers because they don’t harm the environment as claimed by studies worldwide and they will help in the reduction of paper waste and litter. Companies that use electric hand dryers can literally help save the environment because by minimizing the use of paper towels, it also minimizes the trees that will be cut down and processed into papers. The quick and easy drying of the hands is what hand dryers do which makes it hygienic and efficient in reducing the risk of microorganism that thrives on wet hands and skin folds. The filter inside the hand dryers should be cleaned regularly because dirt easily gets trap inside it when the dryers are often used which was told to me by the office maintenance. As an employee, I am happy and quite satisfied that our management considers and hears our suggestions particularly the ones we write on the employee surveys because our opinions matter a lot for the reason that we employees also needs assistance. Because of our suggestions on the recent employee satisfaction survey, not only hand dryers were installed, the management also checked out every facility in the office and made sure that they all work properly and some broken equipments were repaired and replaced.

Friday, June 24th, 2011I own a cat which is a Persian breed and I just adore and love her. I wanted to save some money so when she was younger, I wanted her to just eat leftover food in our house. But a friend of mine told me that that was a bad idea because cats—especially kittens—have different needs compared to humans and they need lots of nutrients. I bought kitten food immediately once I understood what my friend meant about that and I had always bought cat food for my pet ever since. Adult cats are very different from kittens and they both have different needs so I had to specifically buy kitten meals for my pet. The moment I gave her the food fit for her, my pet began to have more energy and she seemed a bit healthier. I thought that she was underweight for her age as a kitten and so when I found that she gained weight after feeding her the cat food, I was very elated. The food I bought her was packed with vitamins and minerals that are fit for kittens at that particular age and so she got enough of everything. I wanted to give her the best kind of food so that she can grow to be the best Persian can in the whole wide world. Cat shows are not something that I would want my cat to join in. I just wanted to make her a companion because cats are really great companions. She is an adult cat now and I think she is ready to have her own kittens. Just like their mum, I would also feed her kittens with the best kind of food for kittens because they all deserve that kind of treatment and nutrition.
