Sunday, August 21st, 2011The kind of work that I do in an insurance company is not the one which deals with customer complaints and accounts, troubleshooting or payment processing; what I do is actually something which helps the company know its current performance when it comes to delivering service to their customers, that is why, along with a team of people which I lead, I conduct customer satisfaction survey to random customers by calling them and asking them to rate the performance of our agent when they last called our office; and as simple as this may sound, it can actually be hard especially if I have to deal with an irate customer whose troubles were not resolved as smoothly as we would have wanted it to be the last time he called our office. With this system, it is a win win situation for all the parties involved which would be the company, the agents and the customers in that they are able to help each other out, by performing well, the agents help the company in delivering excellent service, the customer is satisfied and happy, and the company will in turn reward the agent through incentives for their good performance; that is why, with this system, it seems that at a larger view, it would make everyone happy. One of he driving force in this kind of system is really the incentives which motivates the agents that sometimes there are some who even perform much better than expected, wherein the company would choose to commend them with more incentives for providing excellent service, and because of these agents, other agents are empowered to do the same so that they too can earn as much incentives. I know for a fact that this system of conducting satisfaction surveys among random customers is also implemented n other huge companies, not only insurance companies but most probably any kind of business which offers or provides service to people.

Saturday, August 20th, 2011I am very much afraid of thieves and I am more comfortable on buying and paying things through my credit cards which are given by my parents and I am very much thankful about it because there was a time that I had experienced a very embarrassing moment of my life wherein I went to a very famous mall and very popular boutique and then suddenly they told me very late that they would not accept credit cards but only cash, so it was really a very hell experienced for me and I hurriedly called my mom and dad and told them that I badly needed money to pay the things that I shopped, so after that very disaster experience of mine I became very much careful of what I buy and where to buy especially that I am not used to bring cash. Most of the boutiques and stores now accept credit cards, so it would not be that hard to shop because when you have credit card you can buy and eat all you want and need just to pay later since then I go to malls and go shopping and not just shopping it is also possible to eat in restaurants, and I just want to remind people to be very much mindful about the things they pay through credit cards as well as be mindful with their other responsibilities, still I believed that it would be best to shop and buy things you want through cash payments, credit cards would be appropriate to use when there are emergencies or you do not have any cash on hand and just see to it that you pay right on time before the deadline ends, because there are most cases of people who are used to pay through credit cards and they failed to pay before the deadline, so worst things will happen.

Saturday, August 20th, 2011Its just so amazing when you get to hear different rhythms of music, wherein you can reflect on things that are happening in your life or has happened in your life since I am a certified music lover, I really cannot live without it, I know everybody does, without music I can say that life would be boring and people would have a hard time understanding other peoples emotions, so music can really help people build strong relationships and I would just like to share that my favorite genres of music are alternative and rock as well as techno, these things really get me going with the ups and downs of life but lately I was stuck with the lgbt music which was suggested by a gay friend of mine and I believed that music can make people understand each other better and can strengthen oneself and give enough courage and inspiration to live and survive life. I realized that a life of being a lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered will never be easy because not all people will understand or even try to understand and accept them and through this lgbt music, these people are hoping that they will then be understood by other people on how they live their own lives and how they deal with other people though some of their beliefs are against the norms, but still they are people that must be respected and must be treated equally with their rights, we do not have to judge them right away with what we see in their physical appearance, this lgbt music is for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered people, when I get to hear this lgbt music I was really touched by what they are trying to say with their lyrics in each song though I am a straight woman.

Thursday, August 18th, 2011There was a time when I was very young when I remember that my dad had to work out of the city so much, since he had to manage some business back in our hometown and in other cities as well, while my mom stayed at home where my older siblings were going to school in the city. Since I was still not in school at the time, but was old enough not to get in scraps or be much trouble for my dad to look after me on his own, I would sometimes go with him when he went back to the hometown. The ancestral house where my father and his many siblings grew up in was still there, and my grandparents, though already retired from their jobs at the time, were still very much active around the house; I often had them both to myself while my dad went off on some business errand. There were a lot of things to amuse a curious little girl with lots of free time on her hand, and everyday I would tag along after my grandfather if my dad had other things to do; Granddad loved to do carpentry, and he built me my own little chair which I used to sit beside him and bang beside him using a little hammer that he fashioned for me. I would be given something to amuse me while grandpa and a cousin worked on something, and once they gave me a coin bank made of bamboo that I was admiring, with the premise that I had to sand it myself before one of them applied a coat of varnish to make it shine. That cousin would take me along with him when he played with the neighbors, so I was able to experience shooting from wooden toy guns and playing tag out on the streets. With those good memories of my hometown, it is no surprise that I always look forward to coming back even after years of having lived in the city.

Wednesday, August 17th, 2011Construction workers are generally vulnerable to accidents and other untoward incidents that is why they are provided with gears and harnesses that prevent bad things from happening. The safety harness is given because they can protect the military and police from wars and from attacks from the enemies. These gears are so helpful in their kind of job that when you take these away, the worker is being put in a very situation that could cost him his life. I would really love to wear some of the bulky stuff that the gears have because I do not mind being bulky as long as I am protected. But the harnesses are so easy to manipulate and easy to use, that even civilians use it, just like what other groups do; they also are given an explanation about the gear so that they would be able to maximize the amount of protection that they can get from gears. Civilians in construction and other jobs like rescue teams need to wear gears almost all of the time; these gears, safety vests and the harnesses need to be very durable and comfortable so that people are attracted to wear them even more. We all need to have protection, how much more us who are not trained to be ready for that, so it is still better to be safe and protected than not have any protection at all; you maybe careful with your own self. But there are people who are not really keen in avoiding the accidents and are really reckless, so be very careful and use some gear.

Tuesday, August 16th, 2011I always hear it from my friends that they like how my hair curls and of course this is one of the things I had inherited from my parents. The truth is that I do not understand what they like about my hair since I, myself, hate it and would prefer to have straight hair and when one of my friends noticed my desire, she offered me to have my hair straightened through the use of hair rebonding products and buy chi flat iron. From the very beginning, I had no trust on how these products will affect my hair, but when I learned that more and more people have tried them and so the commercials are so appealing to me, I had no more second thoughts to make use of them for my hair too. That was just the advent of hair straightening products that is why I was the first one to get my hair rebonded in our whole school; the process was not easy at all especially with my thick and very curly hair, and it took us 12 hours to get it done. When I went to school the next day, I felt that my self confidence boosted with my newly-rebonded hair and my classmates and friends were surprised to see my transformation. I felt like I was the center of everyone’s attention that day and thought that straightening my hair was one of the best decisions I made. Because of what they have witnessed, girls at school could not believe that I already have a straight hair and in an instant I became famous in our campus wherein boys talked to me more often, teachers treated me nicely, and the girls wanted to be friends with me. Because of that, I became so conscious whenever my curly hair starts to grow and so I entrust it to my friend right away to do the hair straightening processes again.
