Thursday, September 29th, 2011Weeks after our system upgrade I was surprise with the network speed that we are having, it seems that the speed has increased after phase 1 of our system upgrade for our business process outsourcing or BPO company and by phase 1, we mean changing our switches with gigabit poe or power over Ethernet which allows gigabytes of internet data and electrical power to flow from switch to Ethernet cable which translates to low down time and high savings and for a business process outsourcing company, like my company, it means high profitability and greater opportunity for expansion. The phase 2 of our energy and resource saving strategy which we started when the worldwide crisis hit late of year 2008 is about using Ubuntu instead of Windows for our workstations because we are costs hundreds of thousands of dollars annually for technical upgrade and support for our systems and moving from enterprise system to an open source system means a lot of saved money even if we become sponsors of some of these open source community and from the results that we are getting it seems that we are now excited to move to phase 2 and get more savings. When we make that switch from enterprise system to an open source system we will be able to operate with a larger savings which translates to hiring more people and getting more clients but one of the mitigation plans that we have is the intensive training that our staff will undergo to switch from enterprise to open source mindset because open source means more work for our system administrators and more internal support for our IT employees. The success of this project depends largely on the readiness of our employees to accept change.

Friday, September 23rd, 2011I definitely loved my kayaking experience when I went to San Juan last summer with my girlfriend; if you are the type of person who loves the great outdoors, then you should plan a vacation to San Juan because there are so many activities that you can enjoy there. The best activity than San Juan offers is kayaking because of the beautiful ocean life but there are also many other outdoor activities that you can do in San Juan such as hiking, walking, whale watching, exploring wildlife and even go on camping. I have always thought that kayaking was only for the rich and famous people but then kayaking san juan changed that mindset because the price that we pay to enjoy the beautiful water and animals was very reasonable and affordable. You will not experience the usual kayaking that you normally see in sports events when you go to San Juan because you will be experiencing sea water kayaking, which has actual many benefits not just for physical strength but also for the mind. Aside from having to exert extra effort when paddling the sea because of the always changing current, you will also be connected back to nature because when we were kayaking, we were able to see with our own eyes a real eagle’s nest. We were able to understand more how animals behave and react in their environment and we also made a connection to them because when we got close to their nest, they reacted and this made us feel that they too have feelings like humans. If you want to truly have a very wonderful and changing experience for your vacation in San Juan, then you should never miss to go in sea water kayaking because every second of paddling is definitely worth every drop of your sweat.
When I was still very young
Monday, September 19th, 2011When I was still very young, I as really very eager to learn how to play the guitar because I really wanted to become as good as my father who plays the guitar so well. He has been my inspiration and I really wanted him to be proud of me so I tried learning how to play the guitar all by myself. I felt so fortunate when a friend of mine referred me to seek help in learning how to play the guitar online which has been a great thing since I do not have to go and practice anywhere else but in my room. The sites that I often visit were really easy to navigate that is why I can easily find the things that I have been looking for and I just watched videos and read articles about how to play the guitar properly. Before you proceed with your country guitar lessons, you really need to know the important things about the guitar first before you try the guitar picking, how to do proper guitar strumming and even reading guitar tabs. We do not usually see these things being offered by some guitar lessons sites because most of there lessons were incomplete and do not really improve your guitar skills that much which I think is just a waste of time. Skills will be learned as you practice playing the guitar over a period of time and following these guides or instructions would really be very helpful so that you could improve yourself every now and then. My dad was really surprised when I played the guitar in front of him and I was so thankful to the tutorials and lessons that I learned online since they have been a great help for me.
